Imagine what the Moon does during her
most private moments. She dims the lights. She is listening to
Schumann while composing a sonnet. Perchance she is sprinkling
magical beans in her moon garden, envisioning their growth en route
for eternity. Whatever her beloved task; it is imbued with
tenderness.
A novel cycle is upon us. Maternal instincts arise in preparation
for the birthing of ourselves anew. Upon entering this gestation, we
long for this naissance. Aligning instinct with subjectivity, lunar
and solar sensibilities bond as one. For a time, we know who we are.
Upon this knowing, a kernel of authenticity emerges.
It is imminently clear that some area of our lives has reached an
impasse. The naked truth shivers before our eyes. We are compelled
to move forward. There is no turning back.
Stargazers relish in these closing and opening phases of the Moon.
Devoid of the Moon’s reflection, stars burnish ever more brightly.
When one area is obstructed by darkness; luminescence is offered
elsewhere.
And so it is with the soul. Nocturnal obscurity bears resplendent
gifts.
In those final days, hours, moments; before the Moon embarks upon a
new voyage into unchartered territory, we find ourselves at the
proverbial end of the road. Now is the time to check our karmic
compass.
The end of the Moon is a cycle prone to weariness. Light and energy
have almost completely waned. Sleep is greeted with reverent
receptivity. We roll out the sacred tarp spreading it beneath our
favorite tree. During slumber, truth is dreamed in images beyond
language. Traveling beyond this dimension, an angel takes our hand,
whispering remembrances of our true nature. Imbued with courage and
fortitude, we awaken to a realm of lucidity. We know what we must
do. A sacred intention is planted with a kiss and a prayer.
Upon the emergence of the New Moon, life force quietly returns. It
is a time of auspicious beginnings.
Among astrologers, New Moons are considered power days. They are
opportune times in which to set intentions, in order that we may
magnetize and manifest. During this phase, the enactment of
techniques such as creative visualization and personal affirmations
perform at optimal levels offering vast potential for fortuitous
outcomes.
The New Moon in Taurus arrives on Friday, April 24 at 11:24 P.M.
Eastern Time.
When the Moon is in Taurus, it is exalted.
The next three days offer opportunity for astute self- awareness
allowing for the establishment and setting forth of conscious sacred
intention; a goal entirely worthy of our soul’s progress.
Taurus, ruled by Venus, is the quintessential earth sign. It is
first among the Fixed Signs of the Zodiac. Characteristics and
qualities of Taurus includes determination, diligence, endurance,
patience, , stubbornness, sensuality, earthiness, gentleness and
mindful presence, all of which are required in the manifestation of
true and lasting growth.
Areas of life within the Taurus field of dreams include money, love,
beauty, art, music, gardening and Mother Earth; all which is fecund.
Most significantly, Taurus speaks to our inherent values; that,
which we love, honor and cherish from the depth of our being.
Wherever Taurus resides in our natal chart is where our intrinsic
values figure prominently. We must heed these values; abide by them
as we would gods.
At this time the New Moon is visiting upon a consecrated dimension
of your sacred self. Taurus reminds us that we are the hallowed
ground incarnate. It is here, upon this place, that we endeavor to
tread lightly and truly so that others may not trample upon us. When
we do not live from values cherished, we eventually find ourselves
devalued within the false venues of our life’s sincere expression.
And so, it is a time to re-e-VALUE-ate.
There is no better teacher than the Bull. Taurus reveres nature.
Nature is habitat. Nature is habit. Our own true nature comprises
the essence of our being.
Grazing upon life’s open pasture, Taurus possesses the rare gift of
inner peace.
The Buddha was a Taurus. He found enlightenment beneath the Bodhi
tree sitting in stillness upon the earth.
Once a prince, he abandoned materialism for the sake of values.
It is time for us to do the same.
What the material world values now does not shine the same in the
truth of the soul. ~ RUMI~
